Highlighting the strong partnership between the United States and Morocco, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau joined U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Duke Buchan III, Moroccan government officials, and embassy and consulate general personnel to dedicate the new U.S. Consulate General Casablanca. As we look forward to celebrating 250 years of friendship between the United States and Morocco, it is especially meaningful that Morocco is now home to both the oldest and newest U.S. diplomatic missions.

Located on a 6.9-acre site in Casablanca's Casa Anfa financial district, the new consulate general strengthens the United States' diplomatic presence in Morocco and supports expanded cooperation on economic growth, security, and regional stability.

The new compound provides a secure, modern, and resilient platform for U.S. diplomacy, reflecting elements of Moroccan architectural tradition while incorporating advanced building systems to enhance performance and durability. Designed with efficiency in mind, the facility supports reliable, cost-effective operations over the long term.

A defining feature of the compound is the integration of U.S. and Moroccan contemporary artwork throughout the building, curated by OBO's Office of Art in Embassies, underscoring the role of cultural exchange in strengthening bilateral ties.

The project was designed by The Miller Hull Partnership, and constructed by BL Harbert International, with KCCT serving as architect of record.
