Weekend Lane Closures on SR 3/US 41/Cobb Pkwy in Smyrna, Vinings for Resurfacing Project
METRO ATLANTA - Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install single lane closures on State Route 3/US 41/Cobb Parkway (SR 3) this weekend for a resurfacing project between the Fulton County line in and Terrell Mill Road in Cobb County. Resurfacing improves the condition of the roadway and provides a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and onsite conditions permitting, one right or left lane will be closed on SR 3/US 41/ Cobb Parkway northbound and southbound through the project area each weekend night beginning Friday, October 16 at 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following mornings. These lane closures will help ensure the safety of drivers and workers as crews begin patching the roadway in preparation for milling, inlay and resurfacing operations.
Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
