LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from May 4 until May 7. No work is scheduled for May 8 due to the state holiday. All work is weather permitting.
JACKSON COUTNY
U.S. Route 40 westbound between Highland Dr. and Kendall Dr.: right lane closed on Wednesday, May 6, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for drainage work.
Route 40 eastbound ramp to Blue Ridge Blvd.: ramp closed on Thursday, May 7, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for pavement repair and ditch work.
U.S. Route 50 westbound between 3rd St. and Chipman Rd.: left lane closed on Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for litter pickup and brush cutting.
JOHNSON COUNTY
Missouri Route 131 at 20th St.: flagging operations on Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for ditch work.
Missouri Route 23 between Route CC and Route E: flagging operations on Tuesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.
Route 131 at Chestnut St.: flagging operations on Wednesday, May 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for ditch work.
PETTIS COUNTY
Route NN between Missouri Route 127 and Johnson County line: flagging operations from Monday, May 4 until Wednesday, May 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.
Route 50 eastbound between Route MM and Curry St.: left lane closed on Monday, May 4, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for bridge work.
PLATTE COUNTY
Route HH between Interstate 29 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations from Monday, May 4 until Thursday, May 7, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement resurfacing.
RAY COUNTY
Route A between Route K and Route AA: flagging operations from Monday, May 4 until Wednesday, May 6, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repairs.
SALINE COUNTY
Missouri Route 41 north between Missouri Route 240 and Route F: flagging operations on Monday, May 4, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.
Missouri Route 240 between Route P and Slater: flagging operations on Tuesday, May 5, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for roadway cleanup.
MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
