The City of Alexandria's Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) is looking for talented performers to take the stage at our Black History Poetry Slam & Open Mic event on Saturday, February 21 at the Charles Houston Recreation Center.
This is your chance to share your voice, creativity, and stories as part of a vibrant celebration of Black history, culture, and community.
"RPCA is committed to amplifying local artists and performers whose work reflects Black history and lived experience," said Hashim T. Taylor, Director of RPCA. "Supporting these voices strengthens Alexandria's cultural identity and keeps these stories rooted in our community."
