Have your say in the National Family and Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Workforce Survey

The 2026 National Family and Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Workforce Survey is officially open. It will run from 2 February to 28 February 2026.

This important survey aims to build a stronger understanding of the national specialist family, domestic and sexual violence workforce. The insights gathered will help inform future policies that support the workforce to deliver these vital services.

There has not been a national survey of the workforce since 2018, making this an exciting opportunity to share your experiences and shape the future of the sector.

Who can participate

Whether you are in a paid or unpaid role, we want to hear from you. You might work in:

  • primary prevention
  • early or secondary intervention
  • response or tertiary prevention
  • recovery and healing
  • related social sectors such as housing assistance, legal assistance, health and wellbeing, youth work
  • policy and capacity building
  • peer support or roles drawing on lived experience.

Why your voice matters

Your input will guide future government involvement in the sector and help strengthen support for those delivering critical services across Australia.

We want to hear about your skills, experience, needs and aspirations. Every response will help build a more accurate and representative national picture of the workforce.
