FRA took part in the European Law Enforcement Communicators Conference (ELEC), hosted by Europol on 17-18 September 2025.

The event brought together over 50 senior communications professionals from national law enforcement authorities, JHA agencies and the European Commission. FRA joined EUAA, Eurojust, Frontex and the new European Money Laundering Authority for a joint on-stage session, where we highlighted our mandate, current work and upcoming publications in the fields of internal security, migration and digital technologies.

We also presented our communications activities and promoted the 10 Keys to Communicating Human Rights, stressing the importance of fundamental rights compliance for the work of law enforcement.

Other programme highlights included practical sessions on social media and podcast production, tips for engaging with international press agencies, and an exchange with the Commission on its internal security and migration priorities.
