MunaiTas North-West Pipeline Company LLP (MunaiTas NWPC), a jointly controlled company of KazTransOil JSC and CNPC Exploration and Development Company Ltd, has reported its operating results for the first eight months of 2026.

During the reporting period, 4.302 million tonnes of oil were transported through the Kenkiyak-Atyrau mainline oil pipeline system, an increase of 394 thousand tonnes, or 10%, compared with the same period of 2025.

Of this volume, 3.618 million tonnes of oil were transported to the domestic market, up 261 thousand tonnes, or 8%, year on year. 685 thousand tonnes were transported for export, an increase of 133 thousand tonnes, or 24%, compared with the first eight months of 2025.

Oil freight turnover on the Kenkiyak-Atyrau mainline oil pipeline amounted to 1.784 billion tonne-kilometres in the first eight months of 2026, an increase of 125 million tonne-kilometres, or 8%, compared with the same period of 2025.

The increase in operating performance was driven by higher oil transportation volumes to the domestic market to ensure the required feedstock supply to Kazakhstan's domestic refineries, as well as increased transportation volumes in the export direction in accordance with the schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
