Wheaton Mosquito Abatement District Spraying at Lincoln Marsh Sept. 16

The Wheaton Mosquito Abatement District has notified the City of Wheaton that weather permitting, its crews will be performing mosquito spraying at Lincoln Marsh using helicopter application in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025. This application is being scheduled due to mosquito breeding found in sites at Lincoln Marsh and local West Nile virus activity. The rain date would be Wednesday, Sept. 17.

This application will only be made to sites in Lincoln Marsh. A previous districtwide spraying took place on Sept. 11.

The Wheaton Mosquito Abatement District is a separate entity from the City of Wheaton. The District covers 23 square miles and includes most of Wheaton as well as sections of Carol Stream, Glendale Heights and unincorporated Milton Township.
