Dechert Advises ARCHIMED’s FIM Medical on the Acquisition of Vistec GmbH from 22Ventures

Dechert advised FIM Medical, a portfolio company of ARCHIMED, in connection with its acquisition of Vistec GmbH, a German manufacturer of vision screening devices for the occupational health sector, from 22Ventures.

The transaction supports FIM Medical's strategy to expand its international footprint and strengthen its leadership in European occupational healthcare diagnostics. With the addition of Vistec, FIM Medical becomes the largest developer and distributor of occupational healthcare devices in Europe by revenue, significantly enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and global reach.

Founded in Lyon in 1986, FIM Medical is a leading provider of technologically advanced diagnostic devices focused on vision, hearing and respiratory care. The company has experienced strong growth since its acquisition by ARCHIMED in 2024 and continues to pursue strategic acquisitions to accelerate innovation and market expansion.

The Dechert team that advised FIM Medical was led by private equity counsel Tobias Hugo and associate Adriana Worms, with support from partner Dominik Stühler, partner Carina Klaes-Staudt, and associates Vianney Toulouse and Yona Elfassi.
