The City of Columbia has started a new series of interactive sessions called Community Classroom, designed to engage with residents on topics related to City service lines and departments. This month's session will include a presentation on ways residents can get around town without driving, including the City's free bus system and our network of trails.
The City's trails cover 62 miles. Go COMO, the City's public transit system, offers seven different bus routes. Buses also offer routes on days of University of Missouri football games.
The City will hold the first session from noon to 1 p.m. Connectors will hold a second session from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Conference Rooms 1A/1B in City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Content for both sessions will be the same. The City is offering two time slots to enable more participation.
The Community Classroom series is hosted by the City's Community Connectors program. The program's goal is to foster dialogue and build trust between community members and city government.
