WORKSHOPS TO BUILD HOMELESSNESS PLAN

The City of Chula Vista invites residents to help shape its first-ever Strategic Plan to Address Homelessness, a five-year roadmap that will outline the City's goals, policies, and actions to address homelessness through prevention, housing, shelter, and supportive services.

To ensure broad community input, the City's Housing & Homeless Services Department will host four community workshops in October 2025, one in each council district. Residents will have the opportunity to learn about the City's current programs and policies, hear an overview of homelessness in Chula Vista, and share their feedback directly with City staff.

The workshops are scheduled as follows:

  • - Monday, October 6 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

  • - Norman Senior Center - 270 F Street

    - Wednesday, October 8 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

    - Veterans Park Recreation Center - 785 E. Palomar

    - Wednesday, October 15 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

    - Loma Verde Recreation Center - 1420 Loma Lane

    - Thursday, October 16 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

    - Montevalle Recreation Center - 840 Duncan Ranch Road

The City of Chula Vista currently has resources for the community, including outreach services, shelter programs, and partnerships with regional agencies. The upcoming workshops will help expand on those efforts by identifying community priorities and setting measurable goals for the next five years.

Residents unable to attend a workshop in person can access resources and submit feedback through the City's Addressing Homelessness webpage: https://www.chulavistaca.gov/departments/housing-and-homeless-services/addressing-homelessness
