ScottishPower has been recognised for its positive impact on communities and sustainable development.

ScottishPower, the Iberdrola Group's UK subsidiary, was awarded the Best Corporate Social Responsibility prize at the Metro Employers Excellence Awards 2026 this September. The award recognises its positive impact on the communities where it operates and its contribution to sustainable development.

The initiatives recognised include programmes to help people access employment, tackle energy poverty, support vulnerable groups and collaborate with charities and community projects.

The company has also taken significant action in areas such as biodiversity conservation, the restoration of natural ecosystems and the recycling of renewable energy components at the end of their useful life. It has also developed partnerships to encourage greater participation by women and girls in sport, promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.

This recognition reflects the work of the entire organisation to generate a positive social impact and contribute to a more sustainable and fairer future.
