President Meloni meets with top executives of major Japanese companies

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met with top executives of major Japanese companies at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo today: 17 economic and industrial groups with a combined turnover of over EUR 1,000 billion that operate on a global scale in the priority sectors of the Italy-Japan Special Strategic Partnership.

These sectors include aerospace, defence, infrastructure, rail industry, automotive, digital, innovation, electrical and electronic equipment, pharmaceuticals, finance, commerce and food.

President Meloni had an exchange of views on the strengthening of economic, industrial and technological cooperation between Italy and Japan, highlighting the opportunities that political stability and the numerous measures implemented by the Italian Government - from the Single SEZ to incentives for job creation and technological innovation for businesses - can offer those intending to develop new investments in Italy.

The exchange of views between President Meloni and the Japanese business leaders also focused on global trade dynamics, value chain resilience and the supply of critical raw materials.
