A&M Texarkana Unveils Updated Logos and New University Branding

TEXARKANA, Texas - Texas A&M University Texarkana has announced a full rebranding initiative, including updated institutional and athletic logos and marks, new word marks, new fonts, and a revamped official color scheme. The new university branding was revealed at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, following a year-long process of design, feedback, and approval. The university has also made an additional change according to the new brand guidelines, dropping the dash from all versions of the university's name.

"It is time for this university to have a strong identity of its own, while maintaining the standard of excellence associated with the A&M System," said University President Dr. Ross Alexander. "This new brand is instantly recognizable and representative of the greatness that is A&M Texarkana. Throughout the past year we have worked closely with students, faculty, staff, alumni, university stakeholders, and community members to develop new branding that is as strong and unique as our university, while still honoring our deep A&M connection."

"With all of the great things happening at the university, including the new facilities being built and the transition to NCAA Division II, this is the perfect time for the new branding," said Ali Akram, a student-athlete on the Eagles men's soccer team. "I'm excited to wear the new logo and represent this new era of Eagles athletics."

"Updating the A&M Texarkana brand is both a tremendous responsibility and a privilege," said Josh Yohn, A&M-Texarkana Executive Director of Marketing. "I'm especially proud that this was a collaborative effort from the very beginning. It was essential to involve the people who are the heart and soul of our university. By working with students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members and others, we created a brand that authentically represents A&M Texarkana. It is bold and strong, honors our proud history as part of The Texas A&M University System, and reflects our history, who we are today, and where we're headed in the future. We're incredibly proud to share it with the world. Soar Eagles!"

"As someone who works with students, I know the moments and traditions they experience are what makes this university special, said Blessen Jacob, A&M Texarkana Assistant Director of Student Engagement. "I'm excited to see this new logo become part of those experiences and something students can take pride in for years to come."

Along with the new logos and word marks the University has released a new art sheet and branding guidelines, available online at https://tamut.edu/university-advancement/marketing/brand-guidelines.html.
