Chloe Capital Celebrates Strategic Acquisition of Portfolio Company Alerje's Autoinjector Platform by SemPresto
ITHACA, NEW YORK - Chloe Capital is proud to share that Alerje, one of the firm's health innovation portfolio companies, has reached an exciting milestone. Sempresto, Inc., a medical device company advancing smartphone integrated rescue drug delivery, has acquired Alerje's mobile device integrated autoinjector platform and related physical assets.
This acquisition is a meaningful validation of nearly a decade of innovation by Alerje and reflects the steady progress the company has made since Chloe Capital's initial investment. During this time, Alerje secured more than thirteen patents, advanced an award winning hardware platform, expanded its proprietary software suite, and earned competitive non dilutive support through the National Science Foundation and other innovation partners. These achievements positioned Alerje's technology as a compelling and commercially relevant solution in a rapidly growing market.
Alerje continues to innovate in the digital health space, leveraging their allergy industry software platform which continues to operate separately from the device acquisition. In addition to the SemPresto transaction, Alerje has secured major partnerships with corporate strategics such as Mitsubishi Chemical Group which will accelerate their growth.
For Chloe Capital, this transaction signals continued strength in the firm's sourcing and investment strategy. Alerje's acquisition marks the firm's eighth M&A outcome to date, a significant milestone for an emerging fund manager. Recently, Chloe Capital celebrated another major acquisition with CareAcademy, which was acquired by Activated Insights. Alerje reflects Chloe Capital's commitment to identifying visionary founders who are solving urgent challenges in health care and building defensible technologies with strong commercial potential. The acquisition demonstrates how early investments in purpose driven innovators can catalyze strategic partnerships, accelerate commercialization, and create opportunities for long term impact.
Elisa Miller-Out, Managing Partner at Chloe Capital, shared, "We invested in Alerje because we believed in Javier's vision, the company's mission, and the real need for innovation in allergy care and digital health. This acquisition demonstrates the strength of that vision and unlocks new opportunities for growth as Alerje enters its next chapter. We are excited for both teams and proud to support founders who are transforming access to life saving care."
