Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua and Maldivian Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Abdulla Muththalib Sign Letters of Exchange on the China-aid[...]

On October 23, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua and Maldivian Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Abdulla Muththalib signed Letters of Exchange on the Male and Villimale road redevelopment plan project and road redevelopment project. The signing was also attended by Minister of State for Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Ibrahim Thoaam Mohamed and Counselor Mr. Zhang Xu from the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Kong stated that the China-aid road redevelopment project is an important livelihood project and an important measure to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote the building of a community with a shared future between China and Maldives. It will further improve the road conditions in the capital area and enhance the travel convenience of the people of Male and Villimale.

Muththalib thanked China for its assistance and expressed his willingness to work with China to continue to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in infrastructure construction and enhance the well-being of the Maldivian people.
