Middlesex County Celebrates National Volunteer Month by Highlighting Year-Round Opportunities for Residents

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ - In recognition of National Volunteer Month this April, Middlesex County is spotlighting a wide range of volunteer opportunities that support County programs and services. With volunteer opportunities available year-round, residents are encouraged to get involved and make a meaningful impact in nature and conservation, community support, public safety, and the arts.

To make it easier than ever to get involved, the County has launched a public service announcement and a dedicated webpage, middlesexcountynj.gov/volunteer, serving as a centralized hub for all volunteer information and information.

"Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to connect with and give back to our community," said Middlesex County Commissioner Director Ronald G. Rios. "Our volunteer programs not only support essential County services, but also offer residents the opportunity to build relationships, develop new skills, and play an active role in shaping Middlesex County's future.The Board of County Commissioners and I encourage everyone to explore these opportunities and get involved."

Arts

  • Plays-in-the-Park: Bring musical productions to life as a behind-the-scenes stage crew member for Plays-in-the-Park, the County's community theater program that presents three full-scale musicals each summer, an indoor children's musical each October, and an annual production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat each December.
