Ambassador of Belarus I.Bely meets Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council
20 January 2026On January 20, 2026 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the UAE, Igor Bely, met with the Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash.
The Sides discussed prospects for the development of interparliamentary cooperation, including the exchange of visits. The need for more active and substantive cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups was noted.
The Ambassador informed the Speaker of the ratification in Belarus of bilateral agreements aimed at deepening cooperation in trade and investment and creating favorable conditions for the development of business ties between the two countries.
For his part, Saqr Ghobash assured that all necessary procedures for the entry into force of these agreements will be completed in the near future.
The meeting also focused on developing cooperation in the cultural sphere. The sides emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges as an effective tool for strengthening mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries and expressed interest in implementing joint cultural projects and initiatives.
