Brothers Osborne took an unexpected vehicle through downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
The award-winning duo, made up of John Osborne and TJ Osborne, cruised in a boat down Lower Broadway. The iconic street includes Music City's stretch of historic honky tonks. Brothers Osborne shared a clip on Instagram on Tuesday (October 27).
Brothers Osborne took the boat down Broadway as they shut down Whiskey Jam on Monday night (October 26). Whiskey Jam, a long-running series spotlighting original music and up-and-coming artists in Nashville, revealed the duo as the mystery performer in the lineup shortly before the show took place at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row. Other performers included Macartney Reinhardt, Chancey Williams, Gord Bamford and Billy Vincent. Brothers Osborne played a surprise set for more than 200 Whiskey Jam goers.
The performance arrives shortly after Brothers Osborne delivered their fifth studio record, Watertown. The 11-track album "anchors itself in the sound and spirit of Brothers Osborne's beginnings - honest, rough-edged, and rural, and built with a blue collar work ethic," states a press release issued on Friday (October 23). Watertown follows Brothers Osborne's self-titled album in 2023, Skeletons in 2020, Port Saint Joe in 2018, and their 2016 debut, Pawn Shop.
"We're not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically," TJ Osborne said in a statement. "A time when music wasn't dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say."
