US 27 ALT/SR 41 Bridge Project Reaches Major Milestone in Meriwether County

MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. - US 27 ALT/SR 41 bridge construction project in Meriwether County. A traffic shift scheduled for Thursday, October 8, will move motorists onto a newly paved section of Roosevelt Highway, marking another important step toward completing the project.

Beginning at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday, traffic will be shifted onto the newly paved section of US 27 ALT/SR 41/Roosevelt Highway between Milepost 7, near Crawl Road, and Milepost 7.5, near Juke Line Road.

Traffic Information

When: Thursday, October 8, 2026, beginning at approximately 2 p.m.
Where: US 27 ALT/SR 41/Roosevelt Highway, between Mileposts 7 and 7.5, near Crawl Road and Juke Line Road, just north of Warm Springs.

Motorists should expect changes in the traffic pattern and use caution while traveling through the construction area. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, pay attention to posted signs and allow additional travel time.

As with all construction activities, the traffic shift schedule is subject to change due to weather and field conditions.

ADVISORY: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
