ICANN Contractual Compliance Page Updates Improve Navigation, Information Access

ICANN's Contractual Compliance team has redesigned its webpages to make it easier for the global community to access and use compliance resources. The redesigned site reflects feedback from stakeholders and staff, as well as the ICANN organization's ongoing commitment to provide clear, timely, and accessible information.

What's New

The refreshed Contractual Compliance landing page introduces several changes intended to streamline the user experience:

  • Latest News Section: A new area at the top of the landing page now highlights recent reports, metrics, blogs, and news items. These links refresh regularly, allowing visitors to quickly find the most up-to-date content.
  • More Intuitive Navigation: Additional tiles guide users directly to key topics, making important content easier to find and reducing the need to search through multiple pages.
  • Dedicated Content Pages: Six new URLs host specific types of content, including blogs, Monthly Reports, and Audit Reports. These dedicated pages make frequently accessed material easier to locate, bookmark, and share.
  • New Reporting Page: A dedicated page has been added for registrars to report Security Breaches as well as Notices of Bankruptcy and Convictions, as required under the Registrar Accreditation Agreement.

Why These Updates Matter

Contractual Compliance plays a central role in maintaining trust in ICANN's mission by ensuring contracted parties uphold their obligations under their Registrar Accreditation Agreements and Registry Agreements with ICANN. The updated web pages are designed to support that mission by making compliance information clearer and more accessible to the ICANN community and the broader Internet ecosystem.

By streamlining navigation, providing direct access to critical resources, and highlighting the most current reports and updates, the redesigned site is intended to help stakeholders better understand how compliance is monitored, reported, and enforced. Ultimately, these improvements should make it easier for the community to follow developments, track key metrics, and engage with ICANN's work in this area.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address - a name or a number - into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
