Department of Engineering Announces Northbound Lane Closure

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The City of Syracuse Department of Engineering announced the northbound lane of East Brighton Avenue will close between Ainsley Drive and Thurber Street beginning Monday, Sept. 14, as part of the East Brighton Avenue reconstruction project.

  • Northbound traffic will be detoured from East Brighton Avenue to Ainsley Drive to Jamesville Avenue and then to Thurber Street.

  • Southbound traffic on East Brighton Avenue will remain open throughout construction.

The northbound lane closure is expected to remain in place through Saturday, October 31. Drivers may experience delays and are advised to use alternate routes if possible. Project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
