Frederick, Md - People who live in Frederick County are invited to the Division of Solid Waste and Recycling's Fall Household Hazardous Waste drop-off event on Saturday, October 11. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the upper-level parking lot of Keys Stadium at 21 Stadium Drive in Frederick.
This semi-annual event ensures people can responsibly dispose of hazardous waste generated inside Frederick County residences at no cost.
Household hazardous waste causes danger to our solid waste system. This includes materials such as pesticides, herbicides, fluorescent bulbs, lithium-ion batteries, button batteries, solvents, and other items that may or may not be labeled as "Hazardous Waste."
