Netflix Announces the Start of Production for 'Reasonable Doubts'

Netflix has announced today the start of production for Reasonable Doubts , a new limited series starring Emma Suárez ( The Gardener, Julieta ), Yon González ( Memento Mori, Cable Girls ), Maggie Civantos ( Cable Girls, Locked Up ), Luis Bermejo ( The Snow Girl, Anatomy of a Moment ) and Diana Gómez ( Valeria, Firebreak ).

The limited series centers on the Sellés family, who belong to the well-off bourgeoisie, are well integrated into their city, and enjoy the esteem and respect of high society. Their perfect façade crumbles when Jaime, the model son, is accused of a terrible crime. While public opinion condemns him and the family falls apart under media pressure and social isolation, Mina, his cousin and a criminal lawyer, decides to defend him, convinced of his innocence. Over the course of the trial, the Sellés will be forced to unearth their past to find out whether Jaime is truly guilty.

The series is created and written by Miguel Sáez Carral ( The Gardener, Not One More ), in collaboration with writers Luis Moya and Almudena Ocaña . It is directed by Eduardo Chapero-Jackson, Ana Vázquez and Rafa Montesinos , and produced by José Manuel Lorenzo (DLO).

This eight episode limited series will be filmed in Cantabria and Madrid, with the story set in the city of Santander. The cast is completed by Max Sampietro ( Welcome to Eden ), Laia Manzanares ( La canción, Internal Affairs ) and David Castillo ( Aída y vuelta, Under the Same Sun ).
