United States Department of the Treasury Announces Key Nomination

WASHINGTON - Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent announced today President Trump's intent to nominate Erin Browne to serve as the Under Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Ms. Browne is a managing director and portfolio manager at Pimco. She manages multi-asset strategies, leads the Glide Path leadership team, and serves as a permanent member of the Americas Portfolio Committee.

Prior to joining PIMCO in 2018, Ms. Browne was a managing director and head of asset allocation at UBS Asset Management. Previously, she was head of macro investments at UBS O'Connor. Ms. Browne has also held roles at Point72, Citigroup, Moore Capital Management, Neuberger Berman, and Lehman Brothers. She was named among the "100 Most Influential Women in US Finance" (Barron's, 2020), the "Most Influential Women in Institutional Investing in 2023" (Pension & Investments), and the "Top Female Fund Managers of 2024" (Morningstar).

Ms. Browne holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Georgetown University.
