Explore SIUE's Graduate and Professional Programs During November 17 Open House

Individuals interested in advancing their education or taking their careers to the next level are invited to explore Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's wide variety of graduate and professional programs at its upcoming, in-person Open House event.

Hosted from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, in the Morris University Center's International Room on the SIUE Edwardsville campus, the event will connect prospective students with representatives from the SIUE Office of Graduate and International Admissions and the Graduate School. The program will highlight graduate admissions requirements, and how to apply for scholarships and assistantships.

"SIUE offers a wide variety of career-oriented graduate programs," said Jim Monahan, director of the Office of Graduate and International Admissions. "We look forward to speaking with prospective students about how convenient and affordable these programs can be."

Guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the graduate and professional programs across several academic areas of interest in SIUE's schools and colleges, including the College of Arts and Science, School of Business, School of Education, Health and Human Behavior, School of Engineering, School of Nursing, and School of Pharmacy.

Representatives from the participating academic areas will be available to answer questions and share insights about their programs, research opportunities, and career outcomes.

"Our programs are designed to prepare the next generation of leaders who will drive meaningful change in their professions and communities," said Christopher Slaten, PhD, associate provost for research and dean of the Graduate School. "What excites me most about welcoming new graduate students is seeing how their ideas and ambitions come to life through the mentorship, research, and collaboration that define the SIUE experience."

Attendees who apply for an eligible program during the Graduate and Professional Programs Open House will have their $40 application fee waved and will also be entered into a drawing for a $500 tuition scholarship for the 2026-27 academic year.
