Ernst Pushes for Accountability and Tackles Fraud

WASHINGTON - Today, during a Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) called out fraudsters stealing $1.4 billion every day from the federal government and secured a commitment from Hal Duncan, nominee to be Deputy Director at the Office of Management and Budget, to ensure taxpayer dollars are not diverted to con artists.

Ernst called out bureaucrats who claimed to work at multiple agencies under the Biden administration and urged Duncan to root out these con artists, "this was enabled by telework that went on during the Biden administration and that President Trump finally put an end to. But we had one woman that claimed she was working for TSA, for HUD, for FDA. Oh, and God bless her for her service, the Air Force Reserves. And she was working all of those jobs at the same time. And she was turning in a time card for 120 hour work weeks."
