BioOrbit raises Seed Round

BioOrbit has raised a £9.8M ($13.2M) seed round to accelerate scalable biologics manufacturing in orbit! This is the world's largest seed round for space manufacturing.

BioOrbit uses microgravity to grow highly uniform protein crystals that enable ultra-concentrated, low-viscosity biologic drugs. - making it possible to shift from hospital IV infusions to simple at-home injections. This is a game-change for pharma.

With this round, BioOrbit moves towards:
• Repeatable crystallisation in microgravity
• Scalable manufacturing capabilities in LEO
• Commercialisation with the pharmaceutical industry
