With the help of Alameda County Sheriff's Air Unit, HPD Special Duties Unit detectives were able to locate the vehicle parked on the 26000 block of Luvena Dr and arrest the driver of the stolen vehicle (a Hayward resident). 2025-56679

Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Carjacking: On 10/01/2025 at 08:36AM, a victim called from the 30000 block of Saint Annes Place reported her vehicle was just taken from her home. She said her husband exited the home to confront the subjects, but the passenger subject fired a shot at the victim and missed. The subjects fled in the stolen vehicle and were located by officers on Jackson St. The subjects failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit went into San Leandro where officers lost sight of the vehicle but located by San Leandro PD. After gathering intelligence and surveillance, a joint operation between San Leandro PD and Hayward PD was able to arrest the two subjects and locate a firearm from inside of the vehicle. 2025-56783

Negligent discharge of a firearm and DUI: On 10/03/2025 at 11:14PM, HPD officers were in the area of Manon & Tennyson when they heard shots fired nearby. The officers observed a gray Toyota fleeing the area, and as they were beginning to follow the vehicle in an attempt to stop it; the vehicle was involved in a vehicle collision at Brian St and Baldwin St. The officers contacted the driver (a non-Hayward resident) who was found to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages and a 9mm handgun was located on the passenger side floorboard. Matching 9mm shell casings were also located on the 100 block of Tennyson Rd in front of a bar. No victims were reported or located, and the driver was arrested. 2025-57351
