Denver - Friday, July 24, 2026 - The Denver Police Department announces the arrest of Jacob Anglon (DOB: 1/5/1997) for a fatal shooting and aggravated assault that occurred on July 19, 2026, in the 1100 block of North Columbine Street.
On July 19, 2026, at approximately 9:19 a.m., a call was made to Denver 911 regarding a shooting. Denver Police officers responded to the 1100 block of North Columbine Street where they located two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital where one of the males was pronounced deceased and the other received treatment for the non-life-threatening injury.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, Anglon, was known to the individuals in the residence. However, this motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Anglon was taken into custody on July 22, and he is being held for investigation of First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder.
Per standard protocol, the final determination of charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney's Office.
