Nighttime work on I-280 between Alpine Road and Sand Hill Road from October 6-11

San Mateo County ― Caltrans will be performing overnight work to restore the eroded Los Trancos Creek banks below the bridge on I-280 near Alpine Road starting on Monday, October 6. The three right lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions of I-280 will be closed near Alpine Road between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. starting on Monday night, October 6, and ending on Saturday morning, October 11. In addition, the on- and off-ramps at Alpine Road will be closed.

Closures are between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. nightly

  • Northbound I-280: Three right lanes will be closed from Page Mill Road to Alpine Road.
  • Southbound I-280: Three right lanes will be closed from Sand Hill Road to Alpine Road.
  • Northbound I-280: The off-ramp to Alpine Road will be closed. Continue to Sand Hill Road, exit, and take the on-ramp for southbound I-280 and exit at Alpine Road.
  • Alpine Road on-ramp to southbound I-280 will be closed. Continue on Alpine Road south to Arastradero Road, turn left on Arastradero Road, and then left on Page Mill Road to access southbound I-280.
