ATLANTA - State Representative Arlene Beckles (D-Norcross) announces that she has partnered with Progressive AI Data LLC for their AI Sprouts Summer Camp. This educational program introduces young learners to artificial intelligence, technology and future-ready skills through hands-on, project-based learning.
"Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant concept-it is shaping the future right now," said Rep. Beckles. "Every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to understand and engage with emerging technologies. This partnership with Progressive AI Data and their AI Sprouts Summer Camp will help expose our students to the tools, skills and confidence they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world."
Rep. Beckles notes that this partnership aims to ensure that students in House District 96 have access to opportunities that prepare them for the jobs and careers of tomorrow.
The AI Sprouts Summer Camp program, developed by Progressive AI Data LLC, seeks to provide students with an engaging introduction to artificial intelligence. Over the course of five live online sessions, participants will learn how artificial intelligence works inside the apps and devices they use every day, train their own artificial intelligence (AI) model using Google Teachable Machine and bring creative projects to life by coding in Scratch, developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They will also learn how to use AI tools like ChatGPT as a tutor. The week will culminate in a live demo day, where each child will present their own AI project and earn a verified certificate of completion.
"Education must evolve alongside technology," added Rep. Beckles. "By connecting students with affordable and meaningful AI learning experiences today, we are helping build a workforce that will lead Georgia's economy tomorrow."
