In celebration of Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the City of Gaithersburg proudly presents Harmonious Art Group: 33rd Anniversary Exhibition, on display May 11 through September 21, 2026, at the Benjamin Gaither Center.

The Harmonious Art Group returns with a beautiful collection of member artwork inspired by traditional and contemporary Asian influences. This year's exhibition features Chinese calligraphy and brush painting created by 10 dedicated members of the group.

A free artist reception will be held on Sunday, May 24, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Visitors are invited to meet the artists, learn more about their techniques, and experience the depth and spirit of this expressive art form.

The Harmonious Art Group was founded to share the beauty and cultural significance of Chinese calligraphy and brush painting with the community. Over the years, members have continued to explore new methods and interpretations, showcasing the diversity and evolution of this artistic tradition.

Artwork is created by members of the Harmonious Art Group. Please note that most pieces are available for purchase, and all images remain copyrighted by the artists.
