Readout of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's Meeting With Indian Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh

On October 28, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth held a bilateral meeting with Indian Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh.

The two leaders hailed the one-year anniversary of the Framework for the U.S.-India Major Defense Partnership. They took stock of progress on operational coordination, information sharing, and defense industrial cooperation. They noted the recent bilateral exercise Yudh Abhyas, which highlighted the many areas of progress in the defense relationship.

Secretary Hegseth and Minister Singh also exchanged views on areas for further collaboration and committed to expanding the U.S.-India major defense partnership in support of shared interests across the region.
