OceanBytes brings powerful, commercial-fisheries-grade oceanographic data to the recreational sportfishing market through the all-new Fish Mapping App

App access more flexible than ever, with service on desktop and mobile and new standalone subscription tiers available

NEW YORK, NY and HERNDON, VA - November 2nd, 2026 SiriusXM (NASDAQ: SIRI) today announced the launch of the all-new Fish Mapping App powered by OceanBytes, introducing a significantly enhanced user experience with a range of powerful new features that make it easier than ever to identify productive fishing areas and plan successful trips1.

SiriusXM Marine's Fish Mapping service helps saltwater anglers locate fish faster, saving time and fuel. The all-new app is available on both desktop and mobile and is included at no extra cost for existing SiriusXM Marine Fish Mapping satellite subscribers. New paid tiers of a standalone app - including weekly and annual options - will also expand access to a wider community of offshore anglers who want the service's fish-finding data without dedicated hardware and a satellite-based subscription.

"We talk to the angler community constantly, and their feedback has been consistent: more powerful tools and more flexible access. The all-new Fish Mapping App delivers both," said Geoff Leech, Senior Director, Marine Services, SiriusXM. "With developer OceanBytes, we've significantly enhanced the app by bringing more advanced data and improved insights into a more intuitive experience, and the new standalone subscription options mean Fish Mapping is now available to far more anglers than ever before."

The all-new app delivers a powerful experience with the following capabilities:

  • AI and Oceanographer-Driven Recommendations and Hot Zones - Identify high-probability fishing zones with daily AI-generated insights alongside oceanographer-curated recommendations updated twice per week.
  • Expanded Ocean Data Layers - Access detailed graphical data including sea temperature, plankton, salinity, currents, thermocline, altimetry, and true color to determine the most probable areas for locating fish.
  • Advanced Visualization Tools - Front Finder refines specific oceanographic conditions by adjusting filters and locates the most ideal fishing locations.
  • Improved Planning Experience - An enhanced interface and controls make it easier to customize views, analyze conditions, and plan trips with greater confidence.

"Our team has been providing international commercial fisheries with useful oceanographic data for years," said Vipul Prasad, CEO of OceanBytes. "We are thrilled to bring this data to the recreational sportfish market together with SiriusXM."
