Premium Auto Body to expand in Jackson, creating at least 5 new jobs

Premium Auto Body, a full-service collision repair business, announced today that it will expand its operations in Jackson, creating at least five new jobs. As part of this expansion, a formally vacant property in Jackson will be revitalized with major renovations and modernization updates to support the company's growth, improving efficiency and product quality.

"Premium Auto Body's expansion in Jackson is another strong example of a Missouri business investing in its future and in the community it calls home," said Governor Mike Kehoe. "By expanding its footprint and adding advanced equipment and capabilities, Premium Auto Body is positioning itself for continued growth while reinforcing Missouri as a destination for businesses to invest, innovate, and succeed."

Premium Auto Body, a trusted service provider in the region since 2000, will transition to new ownership as longtime team members Jason Abernathy and Aaron Green step into leadership roles. Under their direction, the shop will undergo a series of significant upgrades, including installation of a new paint booth, additional vehicle lifts, modernized HVAC and electrical systems, and refreshed office and customer service areas. These improvements will enhance efficiency, expand service capabilities, and support the continued growth of the business.

"This property gives us the room to grow and build the shop the way we need it," said Jason Abernathy, Co-Owner of Premium Auto Body. "There is a lot of work ahead of us, but we're excited to bring the building back into use and create a long-term home for Premium Auto Body."

Premium Auto Body offers a range of services, including collision and auto body repair, painting, auto glass repair and replacement, paintless dent repair, detailing, and other related automotive services.

"Our customers can continue coming to our North High Street location while we work on the new facility," said Aaron Green, Co-Owner of Premium Auto Body. "We're staying in Jackson, keeping our team together, and making an investment that we believe will serve the business for years to come. We appreciate everyone who has helped us get the project to this point."

New jobs added as part of Premium Auto Body's expansion will pay an average wage above the county average. Underscoring Premium Auto Body's commitment to creating high-quality, well-paying career opportunities as it continues to grow.

"Bringing new investment and economic activity to Jackson is a meaningful win for the community and another sign of the momentum we're seeing across Missouri," said Michelle Hataway, Director of the Department of Economic Development. "Premium Auto Body's significant investment and creation of five new jobs demonstrate how local growth can strengthen communities and create new opportunities to advance our mission of Helping Missourians Prosper."

For this expansion, Premium Auto Body will benefit from the Missouri Works Program, a tool that helps companies expand and retain workers by providing access to capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation. Premium Auto Body is estimated to receive $49,606 through the Missouri Works Program subject to verification of program requirements.

What Others Are Saying

"This project keeps an established business and its employees in Jackson, creates room for new hiring, and puts a long-vacant property back into productive use," said Lucas Presson, Director of Business Growth & Innovation at SEMO REDI. "That is why we spend time meeting with local businesses. Those conversations help us identify growth opportunities early and bring the right local and state partners to the table. The City of Jackson and Missouri Department of Economic Development have both been important partners in this project."
