Rep. Watson Coleman Statement on Passage of Continuing Resolution

Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), a member of the Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement after her vote to pass a continuing resolution to fund the government through December 11, 2026.

"Today's passage of this continuing resolution pushes the government funding deadline to December 11th. While keeping the government open and functioning is important, I'm disappointed in the Republicans in the House who have thus far failed to seek bipartisan agreements with Democrats on eleven of the twelve appropriations bills.

"Continuing resolutions are not a long-term solution and deny the people their due representation. I hope that we can return to the negotiating table and produce real funding bills that meet the needs of the American people and rein in the abuses of the Trump Administration."
