MEMPHIS, Tennessee, Sept. 5, 2025 - FedEx (NYSE: FDX) today announced the return of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Awards for the 2025 season, building on the success of last year's expanded player eligibility format and marking the first year of a new charitable partnership with Feeding America. The program, now in its 23rd year, celebrates weekly standouts from across the league while connecting elite player performance with meaningful community support.
For the second consecutive season, the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Awards will recognize standout performances not only from quarterbacks and running backs but also from wide receivers and tight ends. The broadened eligibility acknowledges the evolving nature of the game and reflects FedEx's commitment to innovation and precision - both on the field and in business.
"The NFL is always evolving, and so are we," said Jenny Robertson, senior vice president, Global Brand and Communications at FedEx. "Expanding the award categories helps us recognize more of the incredible playmakers who move the game forward, just as FedEx continually adapts to deliver with speed and purpose."
Each week, following Sunday Night Football, six players across all four eligible positions will be nominated for FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week. Fans can vote from Monday through Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET at NFL.com/FedEx, on the NFL Mobile App, or via X (formerly Twitter) at @NFL.
Winners won't just take home accolades, they also unlock impact. Every Player of the Week honor will result in a donation from FedEx to Feeding America for a local food bank in the winning players' cities. This marks the first time the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Awards program will support the Feeding America network of food banks, statewide food bank associations, food pantries and meal programs.
"Feeding America has been a valued partner in our broader mission to support local communities and combat food insecurity," Robertson added. "This year, we're proud to bring our expanded relationship with Feeding America into the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week program for the first time, tying performance to purpose in a meaningful way."
"We believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food," said Lauren Biedron, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Feeding America. "We are proud to partner with FedEx on this impactful program that leverages the passion of NFL fans to help ensure families in NFL markets can thrive. We can end hunger when we work together."
Since the program's inception in 2003, FedEx has donated nearly $3 million to nonprofit organizations, such as charities and children's hospitals, in the name of winning players. This new chapter with Feeding America brings the program's community impact to NFL markets.
The season will culminate in the naming of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year, announced at NFL Honors ahead of Super Bowl LX in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
"We're proud to continue our partnership with FedEx, a company that understands the value of precision and performance," said Tracie Rodburg, senior vice president of global partnerships for the NFL. "Their commitment to recognizing top talent and investing in communities aligns perfectly with the values of the league and our fans."
