NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 35792
PURE ALASKA LLC

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Pure Alaska LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35792

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The three possible sites are located on the state-owned uplands of the Resurrection Peninsula along the southeastern portion of Resurrection Bay, as follows:

Site 1 - "Salmon Falls": On the southern portion of Humpy Cove.

Site 2 - "Humpy Cove": On the Resurrection Peninsula, one half mile east-southeast of Hat Island.

Site 3 - "Atlas Pass": On the eastern portion of the Eldorado Narrows, across from Fox Island.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Site 1 - "Salmon Falls": SE1/4NW1/4 Section 33, Township 2 South, Range 1 East, Seward Meridian

Site 2 - "Humpy Cove": NW1/4NW1/4 Section 4, Township 3 South, Range 1 East, Seward Meridian

Site 3 - "Atlas Pass": SW1/4NW1/4 Section 16, Township 3 South, Range 1 East, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Pure Alaska LLC is requesting a five-year land use permit to establish a year-round commercial recreation site on state lands along the southeastern portion of Resurrection Bay. The proposed activity would include the use of up to five 16-foot by 20-foot cabins constructed on pier blocks, one storage shed, and either the use of composting/incinerating toilets or a pit privy. The site would be used for commercial lodging and in support of other commercial recreation activities. While the application identifies three potential locations, only one site would ultimately be selected by the applicant for permitting if approved.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 2026
End: April 2031

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 24, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written or emailed comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
