Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) meets with the Executive Director of the International Law Enforcement Academy, Bangkok

On 10 February 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), had a discussion with Police Major General Punvipa Rohitopakara, Executive Director of the International Law Enforcement Academy, Bangkok (ILEA-Bangkok), and Mr. Robert Sommerville, Acting Program Director.

The ILEA representatives thanked TICA for facilitating activities under the work plan. Both sides also discussed past international training courses, with the U.S. government continuing its support for ILEA in conducting 2026 training courses in Thailand.

The establishment of ILEA-Bangkok aims to strengthen the criminal justice institutions in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on law enforcement and enhancing security as well as promoting partnerships and cooperation among law enforcement agencies in the region. This includes conducting training courses on narcotics prevention and control, transnational terrorism, financial crime, and other related areas.
