Chinese Embassy in Canada Hosts 2025 Ambassador’s Award Ceremony

On December 19, the Chinese Embassy in Canada hosted 2025 Ambassador's Award Ceremony. Ambassador Wang Di presented the award to nine Canadians from various sectors, including former Senator the Honourable Victor Oh, in recognition of their remarkable contributions to China-Canada friendship.

In his speech, Ambassador Wang Di expressed his thanks and respect to the award-winners. He highlighted that China-Canada relations have achieved a comprehensive turnaround after years of turbulence, and practical cooperation in various fields have resumed and restarted. The turnaround would not have been possible without the efforts of visionary individuals who stand on the right side of history to consistently support and promote China-Canada relations. With the award winners as role models, we need to continue to build on and carry forward China-Canada historical heritage, nurture and deepen our friendship, and consolidate and expand our cooperation, to bring more tangible benefits to the two peoples.

The award-winners said they were deeply honored to receive the award, commended China's impressive development and highlighted the broad prospects of China-Canada cooperation. They expressed their continuous commitment to firmly supporting China-Canada friendship and actively promoting exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
