Three Cities Receive Public Arts Funding

Three Georgia cities are among five organizations that will soon receive training and funding to create meaningful arts projects with lasting community impact. Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) is excited to announce the organizations that have been selected to participate in the Red Clay Creative Cohort, where they will receive training and grants for public art and creative placemaking projects. The interest in the program was overwhelming, and GCA received more than 70 applications from communities across the state.

Selected participants include:

GCA is partnering with Springboard for the Arts, a national leader in artist-centered community development, to provide educational sessions and support as the participants plan and implement their projects. These organizations will select teams from their communities comprised of local officials, business owners, artists, educators, and other engaged community members to attend the training and lead the projects. Projects must be completed by October 1, 2026.
