Temporary lane closure of eastbound Main Street between Mercedes and Berry

September 24, 2026

The City of Norman has been notified by AT&T and Superior Construction of an emergency repair involving an AT&T concrete utility vault that has heaved upward within the eastbound outside driving lane of Main Street. The repair will require a temporary lane closure on Main Street between Mercedes Drive and Berry Avenue. Work is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026 and is anticipated to be open to traffic by October 9, 2026, weather permitting.
