Arqiva secures WTA Tier-4 accreditation

Arqiva's Crawley Court and Chalfont Grove teleports re-certified at highest World Teleport Association standard

18 June 2026, Winchester, UK - Arqiva, the leading media services and communications infrastructure operator, has confirmed the re-certification of its Crawley Court and Chalfont Grove teleports at Tier 4 under the World Teleport Association (WTA) accreditation programme, the highest level of independent operational assessment available to satellite ground infrastructure providers.

Tier 4 accreditation is awarded only to teleports that demonstrate the strongest levels of operational resilience, security, redundancy and service assurance, following a detailed on-site audit by independent assessors. The successful re-certification of both sites provides continued, externally validated evidence that Arqiva's satellite ground infrastructure is designed to deliver high availability under demanding operational conditions.

The assessment recognises robust approaches to risk management, incident response, disaster recovery planning and operational governance, alongside the skills and experience of on-site teams.

These capabilities are essential for organisations that depend on satellite communications to support business-critical operations, maintain continuity of service and manage risk across complex networks.

"The re-certification of Crawley Court and Chalfont Grove at WTA Tier 4 level is independent confirmation of the strength and resilience built into our satellite ground infrastructure. It reflects the depth of expertise in our teams and our continued investment in systems, processes and facilities designed to deliver secure, highly available services when they matter most."

Dom Wedgwood, CTO, Arqiva

"The re-certification of Arqiva's Chalfont Grove and Crawley Court teleports at Tier 4 reflects the company's continued commitment to operational excellence, resiliency, and service quality.

"Maintaining the highest level of certification across multiple facilities demonstrates Arqiva's leadership in delivering secure and reliable ground infrastructure for satellite, broadcast, and critical communications services. WTA is proud to recognize organizations that continue to invest in world-class teleport operations and uphold the rigorous standards established by the Certification Program."

Randall Barney, Executive Director, WTA

Arqiva is the only Tier 4 operator in the UK, supporting secure satellite connectivity for broadcasters, utilities, enterprises and other organisations with high availability requirements. The dual accreditation of Crawley Court and Chalfont Grove also underpins Arqiva's ability to deliver geographically resilient services, enabling flexible network design and supporting continuity strategies where uptime is paramount.

The re-certification reinforces Arqiva's long-term commitment to independent assurance, operational excellence and sustained investment in its satellite infrastructure. It provides customers and partners with clear, internationally recognised confirmation that Arqiva's teleport operations meet the highest standards for reliability, resilience and service quality.
