Norton Rose Fulbright advises Panattoni on long-term lease agreement with Auchan

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Panattoni as the developer on a long-term lease agreement for a new BTS (Built-to-Suit) fulfilment centre for major French retailer Auchan.

The facility, located in Wilcza Góra near Warsaw, provides 18,000 square meters of state-of-the-art logistics space and is being equipped with AI and machine learning-based automation solutions. The centre includes a dedicated platform for automation systems, temperature-controlled cold and freezer chambers (from +2°C to -22°C), covered loading docks, FM Global sprinkler installation, and reinforced floors with load capacity of up to 210 kN.

In line with Panattoni's approach to sustainable development, the project includes green areas surrounding the building, enhancing both environmental and operational efficiency.

Auchan is a multinational retail group headquartered in France, operating across Europe, Africa, and Asia. The company has close to 2,000 points of sale in 12 countries, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and ultra convenience stores, complemented by e-retail operations. Auchan employs nearly 180,000 people worldwide and provides a wide range of products to meet the needs of its diverse customer base.

The transaction was led by Norton Rose Fulbright real estate and construction senior associate Jakub Kowalczyk. Real estate partner Magdalena Zienkiewicz supervised the transaction.

Panattoni, a long-standing client of Norton Rose Fulbright in Poland, is an industrial property market leader in Europe and a developer of multi-functional built-to-suit warehouse facilities designed to support local businesses.
