On September 10, 2025 the 13th meeting of the Belarusian-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Minsk, chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó.
The parties analysed the results of their joint work over the past year and discussed the prospects and priority areas for further development of economic cooperation, including in the fields of agriculture, energy, healthcare, education, science and tourism.
During the negotiations, both in a one-on-one format and together with the delegations, a wide range of issues on the bilateral and international agenda were considered. The parties exchanged views on current economic projects and identified priority areas for cooperation for the next period.
Following the negotiations, the Protocol of the Belarusian-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the Programme of Cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Hungary for 2026-2027, and the Agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between the city of Ostrovets (Belarus) and the city of Paks (Hungary) were signed.
On the same day, with the support of the National Centre for Marketing and Price Study and the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, the Belarusian-Hungarian Business Forum was held.
