Great North Ventures is a Minneapolis-based venture firm investing in Vertical AI and Embedded Finance companies from Seed to Series A. We are hiring Summer Analysts for 2027.

Analysts work across the team on:

  • Sourcing: identifying and evaluating startups, researching emerging sectors, and meeting founders.
  • Diligence: building financial models, analyzing markets, and supporting valuation and returns analysis.
  • Portfolio support: helping portfolio companies with research, strategy, and presentations.
  • Firm projects: contributing to internal initiatives and representing GNV at industry events.

This is a paid internship based in Minneapolis.

FAQ

1. What is the application deadline?
 November 20th, 2026 at midnight CT.

2. When will you make offers?
 We expect to make offers in December 2026 through January 2027. The internship starts in late May or early June 2027 and runs 12 to 14 weeks depending on your start date. We are hiring 2-3 summer analysts.

3. What prior experience/education is required?
 We don't have any specific requirements. We have a strong preference for rising seniors and graduate students who will be returning to school after the internship, but we will look at all applications. No previous venture capital experience is required. If you think you would be great at the job, we encourage you to apply.
