UPDATED: Intersection impacts at 108 Street and 68 Avenue, July 16

Update, July 16: Traffic is currently moving normally through the intersection of 108 Street and 68 Avenue.

The detour will be reinstated Friday morning, July 17, to allow the contractor to complete paving in the outside southbound lane and southbound right-turn lane. The inside southbound lane will remain open to through traffic.

East-west traffic on 68 Avenue will be detoured before reaching 108 Street. Drivers travelling northbound or southbound on 108 Street will also be unable to turn west onto 68 Avenue while the work is underway.

Delays are expected during the morning commute. The detour is expected to remain in place until the end of day Friday.

Drivers are encouraged to follow posted signs, use alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

Paving of the southbound lanes of 108 Street will temporarily restrict east-west travel through the 68 Avenue intersection on the morning of Thursday, July 16.

East-west traffic will be detoured around the intersection while paving is underway. Drivers travelling north or south on 108 Street should also expect lane reductions and delays through the work area.

Drivers are encouraged to follow posted detour signs, allow additional travel time and use alternate routes where possible.
