Government of the Republic of Moldova approves new ambassadorial appointments in four key countries

22 January 2025, Chișinău - During a government meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a new package of diplomatic appointments, reaffirming the Republic of Moldova's commitment to an active, coherent foreign policy focused on strengthening strategic partnerships.

The Government decided on the appointment of the following Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova:

Lorina Bălteanu - Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the French Republic;

Mihai Mîțu - Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania;

Victor Chirilă - Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine;

Petru Frunze - Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the People's Republic of China.

The executive relies on the expertise and professionalism of the appointed diplomats to strengthen bilateral relations, capitalize on cooperation opportunities, and represent the Republic of Moldova firmly on the international stage.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will ensure that all necessary procedures for the assumption of their mandates are carried out.
