OG&E launches reimagined Lend a Hand program to help more neighbors in need

Today, OG&E announced the launch of its reimagined Lend a Hand program, offering a more convenient way for customers to support neighbors experiencing temporary financial hardship. Building on 40 years of neighbors helping neighbors, the updated program features an easier donation process, an expanded network of trusted nonprofit partners, and a $135,000 commitment from the OGE Energy Corp. Foundation Inc. that will match customer donations.

Through Lend a Hand, customer donations help connect eligible OG&E customers with local support close to home. The program's nonprofit partners are deeply rooted in the communities they serve, helping customers navigate difficult moments and access assistance when they need it most.

"For 40 years, Lend a Hand has reflected the compassion and generosity of our customers and communities," said Kelli Hayward Walsh. "When a neighbor is going through a difficult time, even a small gift can help provide stability and peace of mind. With easier ways to give, more nonprofit partners and $135,000 from the foundation to match customer gifts, every donation can go further to connect more neighbors with meaningful support."

Customers who want to help can give any amount when paying their bill via check, online, or on the OG&E app using a bank account. To donate by credit card, visit OGE.com/LendaHand or text OGELendaHand to 41444. The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation has committed $135,000 to Lend a Hand, which will be used to match customer donations and expand the assistance available to customers in need. Foundation gifts are funded through shareholder dollars, not customer rates, reflecting an ongoing commitment to reinvesting in the communities we serve.

Lend a Hand partners include The Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, KIBOIS and Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency. The expanded network gives customers more ways to find trusted support in their communities, no matter where they live within OG&E's service area. Together, these organizations help customers facing temporary hardship stay connected to essential electric service.

For these community partners, Lend a Hand is about more than providing financial assistance. It is about helping neighbors regain stability and move forward.
